Last year we had a successful caravan of 11 (I believe) members starting at BJ's in Wallingford with pick-up points at the rest stops along the Wilbur Cross and Merritt Parkways. Hopefully we can do it again this year.

This event sounds pretty awesome, and I am definitely interested in caravan-ing from Wallingford. However, I will be deeply saddened that I can't bring my horse with me, he always rides in the co-pilot seat in my Z wherever I go...

Let's switch gearz and get back to plans to caravan to Darien.
As last year, we can meet at BJ's in Wallingford (Parkway exit 66 at 9:30; We leave at 9:45 and head south, next meeting places the rest stops at North Haven-10:00, Orange-10:10 and Fairfield-10:30. We will make an on time to fashionably late arrival at our Darien destination.
If the times are too loose or tight - input please...
Lead car must have GPS or know exactly how to get there.
It would be good to know who is joining and where they will hitch up.
No Zee's left behind!

Hi Folks. I have deleted the back and forth comments about our No Pet Policy at CTZCC events. The officers of the club do not wish to offend pet lovers, we just can't have pets at our CTZCC sponsored events. The dialog seemed to be getting a little unfriendly and that is not us. Frank speaking for the officers, was simply pointing out the reasons why with some examples. Thank you for working with us on this club policy.

I'd like this post to be about the Fall Outing, our best attended event each year. Please post about the event and set up caravans. We look forward to seeing your there!

**For fun and a tribute to our pet companions I started a post in Off Topic to share**

Good planning, Arshman! But if y'all come down the pkwy, I think the
rest area in NawDaven, just above Exit 63 (Rte 22) would mean that the
folks coming in from that general area would have to go all the way up
to Wlfd Exit 64 and come all the way back down to meet there. Also,
that rest area was closed for construction the last I knew. May I sug-
gest that using Exit 63 itself might be better, because the road right
across from the exit (I think it is called Mansfield Rd) is seldom used and
could be parked on, thereby giving the Z people who might use the
entrance of Exit 63 S/B a safer and easier place to meet up. EZ off,
EZ on as well.

I would be glad to lead the pack so y'all don't run off and leave Lucky 13
behind. Also, I know the exact way if you don't mind if I jump across the
Connector to Milford and go down I95, which is the easiest way anyway.

Attached is a link to a Google Maps from the Wallingford Rally area to the destination, if any members who are like myself and unfamiliar with the area are trying to locate their nearest rally point. But where is this Townline diner you speak of? If anyone in New Haven proper would like to try similarly to meet at Lena's in Westville for breakfast, I could certainly make a detour for a french toast souffle or preposterously delicious corned beef hash.

I know the Southbound rest in North Haven is open. Can anyone verify the southbound stops at Orange and Fairfield are open as well.

Rick: If you enter the parkway south of North Haven, meet up at the Orange rest stop, a few minutes south. Eliminate the backtrack.
