As I passed thru Winsted on Rte44 on my way to the Lime Rock races today, I swung into the Commuter lot to view this nifty little 240Z for sale. I called the owner (Mike) and learned the car has a LOT more goodies on it than are listed here. The car was stripped to bare metal, all rust issues resolved, new floors installed, new bumpers fabricated, driveline rebuilt or replaced, trick suspension installed, and the car was lowered. Professional-looking spoilers, too.

Mike has other projects going on and hates to see his Z just sit unused. It has traveled fewer than 10,000 miles in the past 3 years. I looked it over in the time I could spend and didn't see anything wrong with it, except for a few cobwebs. Mike knows about us and mentioned several members by name, including his own engine guru Vinny Bedini. Good enough for me!

Mike's asking $8500. Reach him at 860-605-6690 before some dippy hippy buys this car and wrecks it.
Frank

I'm really pleased to announce that Mike joined the CTZCC today! :D

Watch for his New Member Intro soon. Wonder if he can drive this beauty to the Sept Meeting in Fairfield tonight? Bet he sells it if he does!

Hi to all,
This is mike here, the owner of this '73 240 that Frank so graciously snapped some pix of last weekend. Just thought i would provide some more info for anyone interested. I bought the car in '93 with 130k on it. It was an auto trans with a stock flat-top carb motor. The motor and trans were out within a week. I had a couple different motors in it before i settled on the current one, a lower mileage '77 N47 motor with an Edelbrock 600 cfm 4-barrel carb on a Arizona Z manifold coupled to an early "A" type 5-speed ending in a 3.54 R200 rear. Other than the Crane electronic ignition and the header the motor is stock. It runs very well. I spent much of '95 doing the body and paint. The car was stripped to bare metal and all rust issues were taken care of. The rear spoiler is molded in and the front spoiler is urethane from Motorsports. The paint is a GM color, Black Saphire Metallic. The suspension has Tokico Illumina 5-way adjustable struts. short springs, quick steering knuckles, bump-steer spacers, urethane rack bushings and T/C rod kit . The bushings and pins in the rear control arms were replaced at that time.
The car currently has 151K on it and has always been garaged and maintained. I rarely drive the car and would like to free up some space and cash for another project so i've put it up for sale @ $8500.
Give me a call @ 860 6056690 or send me a PM with any questions.
thanks
mike
