Let me guess, John ~ your tank is in Z jail waiting for somebody (anybody) to return to work after the virus lock-down?

Nope, it's safe at home in my garage with a fresh coat of Por15 topside. Inside is all sealed, all ports are clear. Gotta paint the bottom, get two more small hose clamps, and in she goes!

So if the car still quits when you put it back in, what will you paint next?

Well folks, the tank is back in the Z. I double checked all the line connections and the sender wiring and will probably put some gas in it and start her up Monday or Tuesday when the rain stops. I want to have the Z outside of the garage for this "just in case" .

OK, so I hope this is my last entry on this post!

The tank is in, I put 5 gallons of gas in it , checked for leaks (none found), and cranked her over. It took a bit of cranking to get the gas up to the carbs, but she fired up fine,... and the gas gage works! :) . I let her run for 15 minutes in the driveway, then took her out for a short spirited run close to home. I brought her back home and let her run for another 20 minutes or so in the driveway with out any glitches, running for an hour total since it first started. Seems promising.

I'll take her out again in the next couple of days and will fill her up, check for leaks again, and HOPEFULLY we are ready for some spring and summer fun!

I hope you are all healthy and safe and we can get together soon! :D
