BBC The Top Gear car review: Nissan 240Z
This is one of the most important sports cars of all time: the Nissan 240Z. Or the Datsun Fairlady Z(ee), if you’re of an American persuasion. Nissan’s first Z-car didn’t just propel it from status as an also-ran maker of worthy whitegoods to a renowned big player. It also gave the pompous Brits and lackadaisical Italians a bloody good kick up the arse in the school of ‘building everyday sports cars that don’t break down every time there’s a cloud in the sky’.

Nice Catch Karl!

My Z is sitting in the garage right now with a smirk on it's grill.

It's the night before Christmas
and out in the garage,
My Z car is sleeping
beside my old Dodge.

It's had a full Zeason
with hundreds of miles,
Of laughter and Thumbs-Up
and plenty of smiles.

The windows wear decals
of C-T-Z-C,
and my mem'ries of Z friends
bring warm smiles to me.

The salt's on the road
so my travels are done,
But my dreams at night center
on friends, Zs, and fun.

I close the garage door
and reflect on the year,
Then head for the house
full of warm Christmas cheer.

My Z is in slumber
and everything's right;
Merry Christmas to all,
and to all a goodnight.
