Thanks Frank. I had planned to make the picnic this year even though I wouldn't be rolling in in my 260z. In the end it just really wasn't a possibility this year. I'm thankful to be a part of this club, and that I was able to make it to one event in my Z anyway. I couldn't ask for a better one either, the Z picnic is a unique event and an all around great time. Last year we had absolutely beautiful weather for it too, and my father was riding shotgun with me. We had a great time and I enjoyed every mile of the drive there and back, I think it was 300 or so round trip.

I remember you making a comment about us making that run without a single tool in the car haha. We almost didn't need any either. I ended up borrowing a wrench from John Kish to back off the timing a few degrees to keep her from pinging due to me filling her up with 87 octane (duh). Must have been preoccupied thinking about the day's events, still can't believe I did that. By the way thanks again John for helping us out that day.

Jay

Hey, great pics of a great day! Glad to hear that you had a wonderful Fall Outing at Ross' and Brendas home. Hope to join the meeting sometime. It's not around the corner.... The 50th Z anniversary might be a fine occasion. Zee you hopefully soon again.

Thanks Brenda and Ross. Had a great time again at the outing. The weather amazingly cleared for us and was perfect. A couple of my pics.

A very late thank you and a road home story ....
Road home Z shenanigans...Dale and his Grand Daughter followed Vinny and I back to the Danbury area after the terrific event at Ross and Brenda's place, thanks again.
Well we arrived at this red traffic light on RT7 in Ridgefield, 2 lanes....side by side...You know whats coming next...
Two old guys drag racing, We both left hard I had him by less than half fender through first gear, shifted really hard and "what the hell was that noise" backed out of it and Dale was back a couple of car lengths...Vinny thought I had broken a transmission mount....Dale claims he missed a shift! Boo Hoo!! Sure was fun for a few hundred feet and probably got a lot of people nervous.
Reminded Me of the drag racing days on RT1 in Lower Westchester and the I95 Conner Street Exit "Fuel and Gas Championships" in the Bronx.
Colin
the older, should no better one.....
