Looking for a good used original. This style had no tie just a ring at the top.

My 1970 originally came with no ring OR laces. The tower top was simply folded down into the cone. Did I miss something?

My '71 Z originally had the boot with the rubber/plastic o-ring at the top. It was replaced many years ago with one from Motorsport with laces. I'm not sure if anyone carries a replacement boot using the original o-ring design anymore. :?

I'm trying to find a new replacement rubber inner boot without much luck either. :|

Steve,

I guess I should have checked Motorsport again before sending my last message. They do now carry an original design reproduction outer shift boot with the grommet. Not cheap though.

Still no inner boot for the '71Z :(

Hi John,

I was going to mention that I've seen the early style rubber inner shift boot (OEM) on ebay recently so I think these are still floating around. The outer vinyl non-tie shift boots are much harder to find.

Frank,

Yes, this is the style I'm looking for. Just hard to find.
