PLEASE NOTE: Due to expected rain on Nov. 5th, Paul has rescheduled this event to Sunday Nov. 12th.

************************

Paul Jensen asked me to post this message about a terrific "fun run" he is organizing:

"CTZCC members:

I have set up a "Sports Car Coffee Run" for November 12th Sunday. 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Heavenly Donuts 658 New Haven Ave. (Rt. 34) Derby, CT 06418.

This event is open for all sport cars, certainly our Z's are front and center, but please invite a friend that has a cool ride. My neighbor has a gorgeous Mazda 7 and my brother an Audi TT. Some of our guys have other makes too........bring it on!! We're all car guys.

This location is easy access to the Merritt Pkwy. heading South exit 58 or heading North 57 (Grassy Hill Rd. then left to Rt. 34). Our event location is adjacent to McDonald's and there is Valley Diner a block away. So come one, come all........it just so happens to be daylight savings time change Saturday night ...so you'll gain an hour!!

Event directors: Paul & Connor Jensen [203 331 3302 pauljensenrealtor_AT_gmail_DOT_com]"

This event is a roll out of bed, get in your car and drive it..........to the event location and just hang out and enjoy the cars and the peeps. Strictly casual, bring a folding chair to relax in, hang out as long as you wish. This is the destination..............
Paul

Paul has done this several times in the past to great effect. We got about 25-30 Zs together and had a wonderful time. Strictly casual and the drive to that donut shop is an excellent Z experience. Many happy memories of this gathering in years past. Another good excuse to use the Zs while this insane weather holds out! Maybe Don Mei will even bring his excellent 1960 Corvette? 8)

Yes Karl, it's the same donut place. Paul held this event two or three times in years past at his office when the Club was much smaller. We actually sort of outgrew his parking lot in recent years.
This is a little early in the morning, but I hope to make it. I will spend Friday night in Canada/VT and hope to make it back in time for this.

Yep, this was the place we met at before heading to the Berkshires. I COULD walk to it from the house, but what fun would that be? :P

Z you there!

Getting anxious cars and Coffee.... with Heavenly Doughnuts no less! Hopefully the weather will cooperate such that rain date is not needed. Looks like projected rain is becoming later in the day. I think we’ve had enough rain for awhile.
