Can anyone give me a rough (or preferably an exact) estimate of how much surface area needs to be recovered on the standard S30 seats? If someone wanted to reupholster both seats, how much material would that require?

Thnx/Frank

Frank, I don't know the answer to your question but I'm going down a similar path. I just had my seat re-upholstered and the guys did a really shitty job. Any ideas who I can turn to to fix this shitty job?

Taylor

I went to this guy in Windsor Locks (by Bradley airport) he did a great job and was reasonably priced.

I think his name is John
He was referred by my auto body guy.

My purpose for asking was because I was considering sending my seats to Italy to be clad in world-class leather over the winter, and the shop charges by the square measure.

I have since decided that I "don't deserve" (= can't afford  ) such luxury, so I'll stick with (and to! ) my middle-class Japanese naugahyde. After all, if my Z was meant to carry me in any real luxury, Matsuo-San would have sent it to me when I bought my Z.

This guy is kinda quirky but very good at what he does.
I wouldn't hesitate to ask him for a quote.
He put on a set of new pre-made covers I bought from Black Dragon and re-conditioned the seat padding.
They came out great.
My body shop guy swears by his work for all kinds of jobs.

The Italian guy demands to have the seats before him so he can do a perfect job. His customers are Maserati, Ferrari, Rolls and old Citroen DSes, (the most comfortable seats in automotive history). He wouldn't even cut me a kit for local installation without having the seats for exact measurement.
Your guy might work well for Taylor's Z tho.
