Hi everyone:

I wanted to pass along information I received about an event coming up this weekend.

On Saturday April 30 from 10am-3pm at the Southington Recreation Park, Southington High School’s Technology and Engineering Club is hosting their 1st annual Robert J. Beeney Memorial Car Show.

The show is being held in honor of the Robert Beeney, the school’s shop teacher for 14 years, who passed away on 9/1/15 and who made a huge impact on the students.

For those of you who have a car/bike you’d like to show, the cost is $10 per car/bike. It is free for anyone who wants to come out and see the cars. There will also be food, raffle and trophies. Monies raised will support the school.

This has been on my calendar for some time. I plan on swinging by to check out the cars. Hope to see some of y'all there!

I plan to attend as well. It will be a mix of cars (foreign and domestic etc.) which should be an interesting change. I will probably caravan with a nearby friends/neighbor who is taking his NSX. He expects a few other NSXs there as well.
