Restoring the car (1971 240z), and being able to drive it around the block without worrying that the 35 year old rubber won't explode on me would be nice. Ultimately I would replace the wheels/tires, but something in the interim would be very useful.

For cheap enough I would take any tire/wheel combo that was put together. Heck I would even be willing to return them after a few months.

If you have a solution, any solution, I would be willing to hear it. Located in Milford, CT.

Thanks all

Dave

Hi Dave,

I just read your post and I find myself in a similar situation. I parked my 260Z in a friends garage in Flushing, New York 29 years ago and with him selling his house I need to remove it. Funny but I'm really liking the car a lot again. Having said that I posted a request for recommendations on who I should take it to in order to bring it back alive. Walla....Datsun Specialists in Milford! Now the problem. It sits on 4 flat tires that don't hold air and I need inflated tires to get it on a flat bed. By any chance did you solve your problem and if so do you still have said cheap wheels and tires that I could borrow and immediately return to you in Milford when it is delivered to Vinny at Datsun Specialists. Thanks.

-Bob

Hey guys I have a spare set of wheels/tires you can temporarily use. They are original 240 steelies. The rubber isn't the best but they are driveable. I'm in Orange. PM me.

If all else fails maybe you can go old school and buy some tire tubes to prevent the possibility of a blow out. This might also help Notserp to get his Z up and rolling too. 8)

uummmm, maybe next parts car, I'll save a set of ctzcc temporary tires for situations like this. How about some of those ZX temporary spares? I have one in mint shape I keep inside, I can look at the others and see.

Crap, sorry I didn't reply guys. I stopped receiving emails that this was being posted in.

It looks like I found another buddy of mine who has some slotted mag wheels with tires that he'll give me on the cheap. That would have been a serious hook up SurferD, I appreciate the offer. If this other avenue strikes out and I need to get this thing on the road I'll reach out.
