I guess there is hope for all of us 1st generation Z owners who for so many years saw values basically remain stagnant.

I knew that 240Z prices were finally starting to move upward these past few years but this is the first article that suggests my 280Z might also enjoy the ride!

The article is also very high on the '90 - '96 300ZX, which I think most of us would agree is a timeless design.

One of the problems facing 280Zs which is not facing the other size cars, is engine cannibalization. Owners of lighter cars want to snatch 2.8L engines (and 5spd gearboxes), build them up and convert them to carburetors for top performance in the lightweight cars.
So, even if a 280 is allowed to rust badly, the drivetrain is still desirable. Happily, they made about a bazillion 280Zs, so there are enough to go around.
