To the 370Z owners 'round here:

Hopefully there is a proactive approach that you can take here.

Same issue I'm having with a customers Altima now.........Just hit with your fist for now. I'm also not impressed by the car, I guess I'm getting spoiled by Lexus. I'm in a Z car club, not a Nissan club, so you can't hold that against me. :P I will be looking into this problem later......right now just trying to get her to pass inspection. Stuck open thermostat, wont pass, engine has to run at operating Temp.......if she only knew before hand, now it's against the 30 day time. btw, thermostat is bonded right to the housing now, so was over $40, for the part.

Year after year, I've always found a reason to hold on to my 280ZX. Now that my wife stopped playing golf, I thought this was the time to finally part company with the 280 and buy a 370Z. Drove one, loved it, and my stand golf bag will squeeze in the back. But stories like this electrical issue make me puke. I also expect that it's the tip of the sob story iceberg. How many other electrical gremlins are hiding under that 370Z hood? None of them could I repair myself. So the love affair with my 280ZX will continue. I'll keep using taxis or rental cars when I need to venture into the salt and slush and have fun doing odd repairs which even a rank amateur like myself can manage with relative ease.

Phil, you sound as if you're describing the reason you don't leave your longterm lover for some new short-skirt-flirt :D.

If you're happy and you know it.....leave it be. 8)

Frank
