:D Ahh, those were the days!
Late 1960s, when Bob was still driving the 2000 Roadsters. I watched him run one of those little stormers around Watkins Glen one hot summer day. He was so consistent you could set your clock to him. I was really impressed by how smoothly he drove as he drifted his little Roadster thru the final 90* right-hand turn before the straight ~ same line, lap after lap; Same speed every lap (full out?), followed by a PACK of howling little BMWs and 'lesser' sedans, all nipping at his heels, who were sliding all over the place trying to catch him. He was he only driver who appeared to be 'in charge' of anything.

Happy memories.

Frank

For those of you new-fangled computer whiz kids who use FaceBook, I understand there is a Dutch guy on there who followed Bob Sharp around as a kid, and took like a BaZillion pictures of him back in the day. I have seen more than 100 of his excellent photos on FB and would love to get them on here, but alas ~ I am not of that skill and am unfamiliar with FB.

Look up:

Jos van der Aart

and see if you can steal some of his BSR pictures over here to our website. Any and all of the ones I saw on my friend's account would surely qualify for our Z Photo Gallery historical forum.

I've got me one of those Facebook things...if I'm not mistaken, anyone can view his albums. To see all of the albums, click here:

To see the album titled "Bob Sharp/Newman Datsun" click here:

Leave the quarter on the counter, folks

Outstanding, thank you!

There was one great photo of PLN in his shorts, standing on the loading ramp behind the truck, beside the Sam Posey 240Z car. I would love to zee that one blown up and posted on here, if you could?

The rest should all go into our Z PHOTO GALLERY for historic Datsun photos.

Thanks again!

Frank

Any day, Frank. Is this the photo?

Is there a way to upload multiple files at once? Jim? Anyone?

Yup! That's it! It deserves some comments, but not here in this Post.
What could go here is the picture of the BSR cam cover in this guy's series. After all ~ that's what we started off talking about, in the first place. There are surely some members who have never seen a Bob Sharp Racing cam cover, and van der Aart took a good picture of one.
