So sorry to hear about your loss Bill. Don't know you or your wife personally but can only express my deepest sympathy in your time of sorrow. God bless you and your family.

Because we haven't heard from Wild Bill for awhile, I called him today. He's still depressed and not sleeping well, but he's eating OK.

If he needs anything, he knows we're here.

Frank

I just wanted to stop by and let you guys know I'm still here. It's still really tough and will be for a long time but I'm still here. I also want to thank everyone for the kind words of encouragement. You guys are the Best. Also thanks for the phone calls (Rick & Kathy and Frank) . It means alot to know that we can be so close from so far away.
As Rick eluded to earlier, Shelly was taking care of me right up to the end. She had encouraged me to find and buy a project to work on after she was gone. I had found a early vin 71 240z in central nebraska about 2 weeks before Shelly left. I bought it and it arrived by transport 1 week after Shelly left. It has a lot of rust and missing parts so it will keep me busy for a long time.
That's the kind of wife Shelly was, she was always thinking of everyone else. I was blessed to be able to spend the years we had with her.But for now my heart is broken and I haven't been able to bring myself to do any more than just look at the 240z. It's going to take time.

It's good to "hear" your "voice" again, Wild Bill. We're all here for you when you come up for air. If there's anything we can do to help you out, please yell.

Forgive us if we pester you before you feel like socialiZing again. We're just anxious to hear from you more.

It's officially spring here, the Zs are beginning to come back out, and it's natural for us to reach out to each other and share Z-stuff.

Glad you found a 240 ~ they're so much fun to work on. We'll want to hear all about it and zee pictures of it, too. We'll update your Club info to include this new addition to your stable.

Frank

Dadgum it, 2000 miles is just too far a distance to just stop by.
I would love to be able to do that occasionally just to offer the
brother a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, and that kind of thing.
And also, of course, to "supervise" his restoration project (I'm not
sure I'm capable of doing much more than that nowadays).

I never was much of a mechanic, and even though Student of the
Year (for all departments) at Technical Careers Institute when I took
up auto body repair many years ago, I am probably rustier than a
Z Car that was driven thru a Northern winter without rustproofing
and then left out in the field for 30 years.

However, as my Dad used to say, "It's a poor job that can't afford
at least one boss."

All Z Best,..................Rick (and Kathy, of course)

I just started chuckling when I re-read Frank's posts to Bill.

That "Wild Bill" monicker is probably more appropriate than Frank
realizes, since Bill is originally from Cheyenne, Wyoming.

FWIW I got a "WILD BILL" in yesterday's mail. It was for Kathy's
hospitalization late last year, of which Medicare and Aetna together
only covered a portion.

Hope y'all got thru it OK.

They tell me that time is linear, but I don't believe it.
The older I get, the faster it (time) goes.
You young guys (everybody younger than Irv and me), you'll see.

That was just my intro to apologize publicly to Bill for not communi-
cating with him for (I didn't believe it till I saw it above) four months.

So Bill, I'm still sympathizing, empathizing, commisserating, and all
those other big words that I don't have the first clue what they mean.
But I think I speak for everybody when I ask how you're doing; and
equally important, I think, how Amanda and Tyler are doing.

2000 miles doesn't diminish the fact that we love ya, Bro, and we care.

It would be great if any of us could meet him. Wild Bill runs a store out there and I always thought it would be cool to park a bunch of Zs in his front lot and just stroll in like gunfighters into an old saloon. He bought a 240Z for restoration a few years back and might have made some progress on it by now. Also, Miss Teenage 'Murica was one of his neighbors and a frequent customer at his store, altho by now she's probably a mommy with 3 kids and a mortgage, paying off college loans.....
