Our newest Member Ride of the Month award winner is Pat Burns' black-on-silver 1982 280ZX.

View more photos of Pat's ZX HERE.

Congratulations Pat! Please tell us if this is the original color or whether you're the man behind the paint.

This is truly an honor.

A friend of mine who lives in VA. found this car about 15 years a go. It was sitting in the original owners garage for some time with a siezed engine. 30K miles on the odometer.

I had spare engines laying around so I snached it up, dropped a engine in. Bought the body kit from MSA. New rims and tires, and we have been driving ever since.

The paint is original except for the added in side skirts and spoilers.

Also the left front fender had a small rust spot fixed.

After 15 or more years I finally have the original motor rebuilt and ready to drop in. Also getting new clutch, exhaust. (original ones still in car)

Not too much longer and we be back on the road

Thanks Regina & Pat

This beauty is well deserving of special attention. I always felt the rear spoiler and great wheels made it a unique stand-out, even when parked among other nice ZXs. I've also always had a preference for the hardtops (without sunroof) and this car looks sleek from any angle. The black/silver contrast just captures your eye.

Nice. Fifteen years with something like this could develop into a real love affair.

Frank

Pat, where are you hiding these beauties. I know of a few Z's in town, but I have yet to see one of your cars. This 280zx is probably the best 280zx I've ever seen.

Keep up the good work, and take those Z's out from time to time!!
