Our German member Thorsten Link has been a TV film producer for about 30 years. He specializes in car programs and appears on German TV (SWR) across Europe. They actually pay him to travel the continent to meet and interview owners of unusual and exotic cars, and often drive them himself. For the past many years, Thor has been making his own films about cars and car subjects. This year he finished two excellent documentaries about the world Land Speed Record (LSR) which technically began in Germany back in the 1930s. For that project he had to visit several countries. He was scheduled to visit the USA to meet with our American LSR community, but COVID stopped all international travel. Instead, he conducted ZOOM interviews of many American and overseas principals in the LSR community. Here are the results of more than a year of research and interviews.
