I received a complimentary first-issue of "LINKAGE" car magazine in my mail today. Unsolicited, never heard of them. Issue #1 is about 1/2 inch thick, high-quality heavy stock paper, with 180 pages of color and B&W photos. It covers special interest cars of every type and era, from pre-war to modern day, competition and street use. Led Sleds and early Ferraris. Salt Lake speedsters and 1960s F-1 cars and drivers. 1950s and '60s muscle cars. Concours winners and nernational auction sales.

I would rate it about on par with The Robb Report for quality of photos. Jay Leno is one of their standard journalists. The publication comes out of Newport RI and you can request a free Season-1 Issue-1 on:

information@linkagemag.com.

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 33326.html

$60/yr subscription, published quarterly.

This sounds interesting, I'm going to go for a free copy and check it out.

Thanks Frank.

I now have second thoughts about these people.

I called to give this publication as gifts for a couple friends. The subscription absolutely requires that I supply their full name address, telephone number(s), and email address, AND all that same marketing-material for me as well.

More unsolicited telephone sales calls. More Junk mail in both your computer and in your home mailbox. They fully intend to sell your personal info to mailing lists so you can be hounded for marketing 'offers' for the rest of your life.

I refused. If I send you money, you mail out magazines, or no deal. I hope they soon go out of business or get taken over by someone who respects their readers' privacy.

Thanks for the heads up Frank. I hadn't contacted them yet, now I won't.
