Entered two photo's of the TR and the Z in the Classic Motorsports Virtual Monterey Kickoff Cruise-In Presented by Hagerty and eBay Motors Contest.
The Z won best Nissan....Yea! Winner, winner...chicken dinner.
Photo had to include Props from Monterey or from CM magazine, I'm wearing a CM T-shirt in the Z photo. That's not Monterey Bay.
1961 Triumph TR3A, props, my faded cap from Monterey 2005 on the Bonnet, plus the latest CM magazine, CM from 2005 plus the latest Moss catalog with a lovely TR3 on the cover.
Plus you can't go any were without a map and a "nice cuppa tea".
The 1970 Z in the garage is ready to roll, packed with 1960's Samsonite luggage. The Z is the same one that's on the 2005 CM cover on the TR bonnet.

Hey Tom....Hope all is OK up your end of the woods.
The Z was invited to be on the main straight at the Sunday Concours at Lime Rock....Not to be! The alternator quit the same day as that lake photo, got to try out Haggerty's towing plan! Thought about JohnnyZ's tow truck episodes, and wondered if the tow operator would let me ride in the cab, thankfully he did.
Sooo... New alternator did not arrive in time. I installed the 280 Alternator upgrade kit, all is good now.
The TR is just about there. Several years ago I located some early Triumph TR6 5.5" rims on L.I.. always planned on putting them on the TR3...Look cool and way less than Panasports. Then it dawned on me I could modify them......Heh heh...Easy Peasy!
Early TR6 5.5 Dunlop M rims....Modified by drilling the smaller holes to replicate early D Type Jag rims, then Dunlop decals...Between drilling pilot holes and final holes...120 holes! Way over budget, wheel purchase (talked my way out of a traffic ticket on that trip), media blasting, hole template, fix one wheel, new studs and nuts, primer/paint/clear coat, machine shop for new stud install... my time drilling and painting...priceless. Still have to figure out tires, 185 70R 15? Very hard to get, I don't want to get too wide a tire and upset wheel input and original handling, might just put the 165 80R 15's on from the wire wheels.Probably leave the wire wheels on until the snow flies.

HA!!!! :D

No, I never did! Great to see a tribute to the Scotties' bonny blue St Andrew's cross. Some of the greatest names in British racing history have driven for EE over the years, and they remain the first and only independent race team to ever win the 24hrs of LeMans by taking the first and second overall positions in the early 1950s. Their old cars are blue-chip investments today, and even their old custom transporter recently sold for about $2million usd! Their old D-Types were mouth-watering icons of the golden age of sportscar road and circuit racing.

I can't imagine how you managed to arrange such license plates, but they are indeed an outstanding tribute to a team deserving of spectacular respect, even 70-years-on, and you should fly them with pride.
