I know there are a few veterans in the club, some of you may enjoy reading this.

My cousin's book "What We Inherit"(by Jessica Rotondi) tells my family's story, of my Uncle Jack - an Vietnam Veteran who was MIA since 1972, and the lifelong search for answers that ensued to find out his whereabouts.

My grandfather, a WWII airmen, and survivor of over two years of imprisonment in Stalag 17, never stopped searching for his son.

I just got my copy yesterday as it was just released, and I've read half of it already. I know much of the story but my cousin interviewed men who served with Jack who revealed details I've never heard before.

It's a great read, and a true story about my family.

It's available on Amazon in case anyone is interested.

That's great Paul. My cousin worked really hard on it and it really shows, it's a very hard book to put down once you start.

It's also mentions some family members who I love and miss very much, so for me it's more than just a great book, it's personal too.

Amazon has been a regular thing for us too since Covid began. I hate to think how much I've spent on there haha.

Jay,
I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet. My wife grabbed it before me while I was finishing up reading about Erwin Rommel, the "Desert Fox". She likes your cousin's writing style. I like her picture on the back sleeve, very pretty girl! Hopefully I get to read it next week.

Yes she is John, and a good writer too.

Jay,

I just finished reading Jessica's book. Had to wipe some tears at the end. Jessica certainly revealed how much your family's love for each other drove the search for the truth about your uncle Jack's disappearance and ultimate fate, constantly obstructed by government lies and bureaucracies while dealing with their own serious personal issues. You should be very proud of what you have inherited.

I certainly am proud of them John, thank you. I'm very lucky to have such a great family. I'm glad to be able to share a bit of them with you, thanks for reading it.

I've always been proud of, and felt a connection to, my uncle and it's always bothered me that I never got to a chance to meet him.

Again, thank you John. I'm glad you read it.

I just got my 2 books, one was a gift for a local guy we see at our #1 restaurant we call home, and he always brings a book in to read, and plus I know he will enjoy this. I my self am attracted to the title because I unfortunately inherited both my parents belongings with in the last 2 years. I'm not a big book reader, but will be for this, plus the guy I gave the gift to wants me to read together a chapter at a time and we will discuss it the next time I'm there. We are both Beer Mug club members as well. There is only so many mugs, so long waiting list. It's also a brewery. Thanks for this.

So both of your parents passed recently? I'm sorry for your loss Paul.

I'm glad to hear you and a friend will be reading and discussing.... There is alot to digest so that will actually likely help. I have read it a second time and picked up on some missed details from my first read through.

I hope you enjoy the story Paul (I'm sure you will), thank you for picking it up.
