Has anyone ever stored a 2-stroke engine "wet" over the winter with Sta-Bil?

I normally store the Z "wet" and start it several times during the winter, but I drain my pre-mix Bultaco and store it dry. I don't want to do that this year because it's a pain to drain and to remix and refill it in the spring. Also, it's reassuring to know that if I had to start it in an emergency it would be ready to kick.

Has anyone used Sta-Bil in their 2-stroke pre-mix motorcycle over the winter and if so, did anything break, explode or fall off?

Frank,

I've used Sta-Bil in my 2-stroke power equipment (leaf blowers, trimmers, etc.) for years without any problems. Many of the 2-cycle oils now have stabilizers included in their products. I would use that stuff and follow the directions accordingly. Never owned a 2-stroke bike though.

Thanks John ~ you don't know what you're missing! Twice the power, vibration, noise and pollution! I've owned nearly a doZen bikes and about half of them were 2-strokes, but I've always drained them and run them dry before winter storing.
