Throughout the whole summer this year I have seen exactly ONE (1) bee and THREE (3) butterflies, and it may have actually been the same butterfly, three times. Also two mosquitos (not a complaint).

Anybody have any better news?

Frank T.,

Couldn't agree more. It's been too hot, or too wet for roadsters so I usually drive one of the (don't tell anyone) Zubarus. I usually log 3k on the Zodometer but this year nowhere near that. The one good thing is the Hummingbirds have found my feeder and have become regulars. Hopefully the autumn months will be an improvement. The law of averages should be with us.

Hope to see y'all in October.

Alan

Not here in Orange. We have seen anything you can think of all summer. We have one particular flowering plant that's over 8 feet tall that hosts at least three kinds of bees, hornets, beetles and other insects. Around dusk the fireflies are out in full force and my son loves to catch them. Butterflies and dragonflies are all over the place too. We have skeeters too near the wet part of the yard. I think it depends on the plants you have around.
