Was on a plane last week watching the movie "American Made" featuring Tom Cruise. Couldn't beleive my eyes when I thought I saw a Black Pearl on the screen. Had to rewind it several times and the photo quality is bad. But I'm thinking it's a Black Pearl unless someone can prove otherwise! I've invited Tom to my home to see mine. Doorbell hasn't rung yet.

Tom Cruise Mapother was born and raised 10 years in my hometown of Syracuse. He was 5 and just beginning Kindergarten when I left town, which caused the city to begin to deteriorate. His family moved away as soon as they saw the tragic effect my absence had on that once-wonderful city.

Tom wrecked several of Bob Sharp's race cars trying to learn to race. Bob described him as very fast, but never remembering where to use the brakes. Bob fired him when he finally ran out of practice cars. I sincerely hope they didn't trust him to drive a genuine, precious BP for this or any other movie. Taking a chance on restored classic '49 Buick Roadmaster convertibles is one thing (Rainman), but there are not enough Black Pearls to spare.

Very curious about how you managed to get us a screen shot from an airplane movie screen? Nice work.

Lol - thanks Frank. I just rewound the movie a bit, put it on "pause" at the right part and then took a picture of the screen with my phone!

Some days I just look dumb and other days I act dumb. But then there are those days when both happen...:)

You did good Ross!

And Frank... I hate to be the one to tell ya but the weather gods have located another monkey wrench. 6-12" Wed - Thurs. Here comes more salt. And just after a good bit of cleansing rain!! I'd be happy taking Noraleen down the hill for milk and back.
