I've always preferred log cabins.
Neat little upstairs Man Cave or guest room for visiting in-laws, too. Install remote starters on all your cars and guests move out whenever you're ready. 8)
When wifey needs you back in the house she only has to pickle one of the remote car alarms.

I went with Klotter, so feel free to walk across the street and I'll show you. I store the Z and the Audi in it for the winter and the A is in the house garage.

back in 2013 I built a shed that's 14x16 with a 7' top plate ( I should have just used 8' but my last shed had a 6' plate and I thought 7 was good enough) and a 5 pitch roof. I used leveled out and generously placed cinder blocks for the foundation.
It's off the ground so no tax issues and it's built the same as a house; 2x4 exterior walls, 2x8 floor joists, 2x6 rafters, 15/32 plywood sheathing and floor.
I spent about $1300 on materials including roofing and siding.
I did the work myself but if you had to hire someone the cost would be much higher.
But that's a baseline on materials at least.
I made the double doors also and they're 6' wide, just enough to roll in the Z if needed.
