I just noticed that there is going to be a "build" of a 1972 Datsun 240z tonight (Oct.3,2017) on the "History Channel" - Counting Cars (channel 628 on FIOS). I just set my DVR to record it, just in case it slips Z mind. :shock: You might want to check it out. I'm a little curious as to what they're going to do and the condition of the car that they're starting with. It should be interesting. :mrgreen: :thumbs_up:

I checked the History Channel web site. It's on at 10:30pm Eastern Time. Says it's a new episode :thumbs_up:

Once it airs if you have cable or satellite service you can watch it on the History channel site. :wink:

It seems every time Danny finds a project for the shop, he winds up keeping it. Now Ryan and Kevin are determined to find a car Danny will actually fix up, and flip. And they do, a 1972 Datsun 240z. Danny agrees to fix it and sell it, but when he has a last minute change of heart, Ryan has to figure out how to make the Count’s vision a reality without derailing the whole project. Meanwhile, Davey Deals shows off his new muscle car, a 1969 Falcon, and Ryan and Kevin spot and pull over a restored 1953 Ford.

My TV listing don't tell me squat.. Karl's got the inside track on this one. Geez Louise!! I didn't have to know that Danny was/is planning on keeping this thing. Like... don't tell me the ending Karl. :shock: :lol: :thumbs_up:

Right Howie, and they're only original once.
My car left my hands original (and rusty) back in the mid-1980s. It had been "massaged" by several other owners by the time I got it back 23 years later. It's a better car today, with updated systems which make it safer, smoother, quicker and even more comfortable. But in my heart of hearts I often want it back the way it was when I bought it.

Then I could charge TWO million for it. 8)

Bull SchnitZel. :mrgreen: :shock: Not smelling the exhaust fumes, or watching the temp. gauge rising while in traffic or sweating inside the car with the sweat burning you eye balls would be greatly missed. You wouldn't sell it, for ANY amount. 8) :lol: :thumbs_up:

I watched this last night (DVR). I just don't get drilling into a good car. Seam welding a rust bucket and dropping in a 2JZ is ok but hurting a good body... (head shakes).

Agreed. Nothing like unburnt 93 octane fumes wafting thru the cabin. No ac?...crank down the windows. New aluminum radiator inst prior to ZCON17. Temp gauge hardly moved. HIGHLY recommended.
Z ya on the 21oneth.
