Shakespeare, and my 8th grade Latin class.

Julius Caesar was swarmed and assassinated on 15March, 44BC by the members of his own Senate, including his most-trusted friend, Marcus Brutus. When they all finished stabbing him they stood back to watch him die. At that point Caesar saw Brutus holding his bloody dagger and asked, "Even YOU, Brutus? Then fall (die) Caesar".

Caesar had ignored the warning of a soothsayer to "beware the Ides of March".

(Never mind Howie, you had to be there to appreciate it). :lol:

Yeah Howie, I have clear memories of that Spring. I was just entering my Freshman year at high school and you were a Senior that year. All the kids looked up to you because you were the only guy in school who still wore animal hides and rode a dinosaur, which we thought made you pretty tough. 8) We called you Alley Oop behind your back, but never to your face. We thought you were the toughest man alive. We didn't bug you 'cause we knew better.
