Haha ~ a story comes to mind.

In the 1966 Formula-1 Grand Prix of Belgium (Spa Francorchamps), a torrential downpour saw three world-class drivers (Jackie Stewart, Graham Hill and Bob Bondurant) all crash their F-1 BRM Grand Prix cars at the same corner within moments of each other.

Stewart went first and, hitting trees and a building at 170mph, his cigar shaped F-1 BRM bent like a pretZel. He was trapped upside down in the cockpit with the car on top of him and both ruptured fuel tanks draining fully onto him like faucets. There were no organized emergency services at the corners like there are today, so Stewart was on his own.

First Hill and then Bondurant escaped their own cars and ran to Jackie's aid. Borrowing car jacks and tire irons from nearby spectators' cars, they pried and cut Jackie out of his car, but it took 25 minutes. Stewart was drenched in high octane aviation fuel which was burning his skin and eyes.

Thinking quickly, they threw Stewart into some loose hay, stripped him naked and told him to let the hard rain wash the fuel off him. Stewart stretched out face up like a crucified Christ, naked as a Jaybird.

Four nearby French nuns, (trained as nurses) had rushed to the scene to see if they could help anyone. Amid much laughter and mirth, they tended to the embarrassed (and seriously injured) Stewart, who actually tried to put his fuel-soaked racing suit back on.

This crash started a universal drivers' campaign for safer racetracks and cars, but the story made world news because someone had snapped a photo of these four laughing young French nuns all reaching for poor naked Jackie Stewart at the same time like hungry dogs.
