Our poor Salt Lake City member Jason WInget is leaving today for a mandatory temporary job transfer from his snow-bound SLC to the far-off Polynesian island of Bora Bora for several weeks. :( Poor Guy!!! :(

As you'll remember, Jason is the 240Z fanatic who visited us last Fall when he drove his RHD 1970 Fairlady Z around all 33 USA perimeter states with his dog Bernie. That trip took 50 days and touched every extreme point in the USA.

Jason is a movie camera crewman (electrician/gaffer/bestboy) and his job sometimes sends him strange places to make movies. Sir Anthony Hopkins' "The World's Fastest Indian" was easy for Jason to work on because it was filmed right in his backyard on the Bonneville Salt Flats.

But this time the movie will be filmed completely on Bora Bora, where the February average temperature is 84*F. He will be there for several weeks, getting paid tens of thousands of US dollars to snorkel in the clear-blue lagoons and learn Polynesian dances after drinking too much. :(

We don't expect to hear much from Jason while he's there, but we can all pray for him and pity him as a group. With his garage filled with "new" classic 240Zs he bought during his circumvention of the USA, poor Jason has been torn away from them for more than a month.

Please keep poor Jason in your thoughts and prayers while he endures the pressure of this newest job assignment. At least he's single, so he doesn't have to leave a family behind, alone. 8)

Oh, the things we endure in order to own our beloved Z cars.
