Check out this eBay auction for a Datsun Roadster.

No-sale at $33k. Reserve at $50k.

Looks pristine and very tempting. But too expensive and not enough garage space!

What do you think of this car??

Well, about the only things he didn't list as 'new' were the generator, the gearbox and the differential (unless I missed those). Aside from those, this would be like buying a brand-new '67 Fairlady.
The 1967 tall windscreen 2.0L OHC models were the most-coveted of the Roadster series. Bob Sharp made each model run (the 1500, the 1600 and the 2000) but this last model was the most powerful, which made them the quickest and fastest on the racetrack.
Everybody wants a Roadster. These cars were so superior to the MG-B as to be not funny, and they cost less when new.
Would I pay $50G for a Roadster? Probably not, but I'd watch you do it, Ross, and ask for a ride! 8)

Frank
