My pastor is beginning to clean out his basement in anticipation of retirement. He has given me his library of car books, which I would like to offer to club members.

If you see something you like from the pictures, let me know and I will set it aside for you.

First come first serve.

Since Frank will undoubtedly be the first one to read and respond to this post, maybe he and I can organize a simple outing over the holidays for us to catch up and for you to take your books.

Ross

Ross, very nice collection. I would be interested in the Milla Miglia Race/The Post War Years (in the 2nd photo) and the MGA MGB MGC book (in the 4th photo).
Thank your Pastor, and Happy Holidays.

Oh, dibs on the DS Citroen book, the early Aston Martin book and the Silver Arrow book!

In return I volunteer to help you with this timely project! Perfect Christmas gifts!

Frank

Wow! Very cool and kind gesture. I'd like to humbly request the Lotus Europa books and Jag C-Type/D-Type book....unless of course someone in the club owns one of those and is in need (;

Thanks Again to you and the pastor! Happy Holidays!

Hello Ross,
interesting collection.
I would be interested in:

Volkswagen Bus Camper Van
Jaguar 1961 - 1964
Jaguar 1957 - 1961

Please ship it by a Santa Claus reindeer sleigh :D

Thanks a lot, Thor

And if there will be no-one who is interested in the Porsche 911-book,
please put it in the sack :D

Thanks Ross

:D Frohe Wienachten, unser freunde!

And a timely reminder that the Germans and the Dutch actually gave us Santa Claus.

Early Germans called him Saint Nicholas, which the Dutch pronounced "SinterKlaas", which our Civil War soldier boys (during their 'conversations' with young Dutch girls living around Washington DC) ( 8) ) came to pronounce as "Santa Claus".

The Russians call him Grandfather Frost (Dedushka Merosh), and the English and Aussies call him Father Christmas.

Not that any of that matters (or that anybody asked), but it seemed like the right time to put that out there.

HoHoHo.

Shall we meet up with whoever is interested on Sunday afternoon somewhere?

Frank - if you are free, any suggestions as to a location?

I'm almost never available Sundays. This particular Sunday, The Pack plays the Cardinals at Arizona.
Maybe Saturday?
Since you're being gracious enough to give these away, we should come to you, or at least not make you drive far. I can help relay them to whomever is east of you, and I could mail Thor's to him.

What about Vinny's?

OK, how about today for coffee at around 2:00pm?

Let's see who is interested and then we can decide on a meeting place.

I would love to meet at Vinny's if he is open and we would not be bothering him.

Ross

Good morning and Merry Christmas,

Of course I'm interested in coffee with friends. 2:00pm is good. Sounds like a great idea. Let me know where.

Alan

More gooder if we use a centrally located place we're already familiar with. Some years ago Bob Sharp met us all for a Bunch for Lunch at the Dairy Queen Grill and Chill:

DQ Grill and Chill
59 Washington Ave
North Haven CT

That's in a large shopping center beside Walgreens, at a major interaction of Washington Ave (Rte5) and Rte 122. Looks like exit #63 off Rte 15 (Merit/Wilbur Cross).

I've contacted Bryan Little and he will spring free of his duties to meet us there at 1500 (3PM) too.

This will be cool to zee a few members again before the year ends!

Frank

You're on the money, Frank. It's much more gooder to meet at the "interaction" of Rt5 and Rt22. Zee you guys there at 1500hrs.
