It amaZes me how many drivers still don't realiZe the Daytime Driving Lights setting on their dashboard switch does NOT give them taillights.
They like the convenience of having the headlamps turn on each time they start the car, and their dashboard illuminates, too, making them think they are prepared to drive. But the tail lamps and license plate lamps stay unlit unless the switch is turned to the full headlamps position. How can so many people not know that?
Most of the offenders seem to be teenagers. If you have kids who drive at night, please take a minute to march them out to the car and show them that by using the Daytime Driving Lights, they have no tail lights.
