Guitar hero Joe Walsh is touring the region. Any other fans thinking of catching a show?

Didn't he play for the Eagles?

Where's he playing here, do you know?

He didn't just play for the Eagles. Before single-handedly rocketing them to super stardom, he also played w/ the James Gang as well as a solo career that bookends his time w/ the Eagles. I'd have to check but I think he still owns the record for number of floors travelled by a TV on it's way to the hotel pool. Oct dates close enuff to attend; 7th&8th Port Chester,NY (just across the Ct line), 10th Hampton Beach,NH, 14th Westbury NY (Long Island,1hr from Fairfield,Ct), 17th Boston.

Life's been good...
Al

I'd rather enjoy seeing the old boy again. If I can re-arrange a few commitments here, I might be able to make the Port Chester show. Let me talk to some people.....

I just saw him with The Eagles in July. They and he were awesome. They played for almost 3 hours and every song was perfect.

Joe fine tuned his hotel wrecking with one of the best . . . Keith Moon of The Who . . . Joe once said that "One of the most terrifying things that ever happened to me was that Keith Moon decided he liked me. He taught me the finer arts of hotel damage."

Ahh, Keith Moon (Looney Mooney)! People say Ginger Baker was the best drummer in all of R&R history, but I've listened to The Who and Fleetwood Mac a lot, and for my money Keith Moon and Mick Fleetwood are (Mick) or were (Keith) the two best drummers. Ginger was stoned all the time and Keith was simply nuts. Mick wasn't altogether wrapped too tight, either. In fact, The Muppets fashioned Animal after Mick Fleetwood. Blue Man Group had an outstanding drummer during the 1990s, but we never learned who he was because they were all anonymous.

Sorry for the spontaneous nostalgia............you guys just opened a can of memories there.

The Who was definitely unique since everyone played lead. Lead Guitar (Townsend), Lead Bass (Entwistle) Lead Drums (Moon) and Lead Vocals (Daltry) 8)

I actually saw The Who live recently. Entwistle is replaced by some guy I never heard of who got a standing ovation when he duplicated the Bass run in "My Generation", and Moon's seat is now occupied by Ringo Starr's son!

They no longer blow things up or smash their instruments on the stage after the encore; Daltry no longer swings the mic around and Townshend no longer "windmills" his guitar. But their music is 100% perfect.

I love this club. I saw Joe Walsh at the Hartford Civic Center with the Eagles and he was wonderful. He played Funk 49 along with the Eagles and James Gang favorites. How great is it that we have the same taste in cars and music. I know Frank is enthralled with The Moody Blues as am I. If anyone is looking to go see Walsh solo let me know. Maybe we'll see Ringo and Barbara Bach (Joe is married to Barbara's sister). Keep those cars and music thoughts coming. :D

Right, Kev!
Nothing better than hearing Moody Blues on your Z radio, with the engine singing background!
