Betty Joan Perske has died, taking with her the teenaged fantasies of millions of Baby Boomers. She was one of the hottest and sultriest actresses to ever grace the silver screen during our lifetimes, and not a single red-blooded male who saw her act, failed to find her desirable.
She had long, lush, thick flowing hair, seductive eyes and a husky, 'private' voice which got the attention of any man who saw or heard her. She starred in huge movie successes and usually played opposite the leading men of her era. In fact, she was first married to Humphrey Bogart and later to Jason Robards.
You might have also known her as Lauren Bacall.
