With little fanfare, it seems that the state of CT now allows SEVEN characters on a vanity license plate. This means that this is an excellent, rare opportunity to find lots of available choices.

If you go here:

https://www.dmvselfservice.ct.gov/VanityPlateService.aspx?dmvPNavCtr=%7c

you can type in a possible plate choice and see whether it is available and even what it will look like. You cannot use blanks or dashes, but you can use a dot (period) anywhere except the very beginning or end.

Here are some I quickly found:

NISSAN.Z
ZX.TURBO
DRIVEN.Z
LOVEMY.Z
THE.ZMAN

Feel free to post any you come up with and would like to share.

-Jim

I loved that! Good laugh!

You'd better do that, Jim

Now I could get "2dChnce" if I wasn't already so happy with my present choice.

AWESOME.

Been thinking of getting mine.

Does anyone know if it is possible to run an antique vanity plate?

You can get vanity early american plates but I was under the impression that they were only good for 5 characters. Heres the form

Awesome! I only need 5 symbols anyway!

Does anyone know if these fees are yearly or one time things?

I believe you pay the 96.00 for the new plate the first year and then it is only whatever your registration costs after that, unless you have one of the plates that is also a donation plate like the LI Sound one.

Porkbun would get me so many questions I wouldnt know how to answer. My "wish to-do list" went from body work and interior to replacing pretty much all of the front end body panels, different (wider?) wheels and tires, lowering springs, performance clutch, stripping off and redoing the undercoating etc. etc. Since vanity plates are close to the bottom of the list, ill give myself some wiggle room and say 2016

Honestly Im not even sure I get it. Ive had porkbuns at chinese takeout places before and for some reason I decided to use porkbun to make my first email address and it just stuck. I suppose it could work if I went white exterior and brown interior
