For those of you who live down South or out West, we finally got our "Christmas snow" overnight here in the FroZen East. 5" of snow over 1/4" of ice has caused church to be cancelled this morning. I-95 last night was a bit of a nightmare, with all traffic (except New Jersey drivers) traveling at 20mph. The NJ guys flew past us at 40+ and we found them in ditches or against the guardrail a mile later. Four accidents btwn NYC and central CT, all NJ drivers! I guess winter is finally here, and the Z is garaged for the duration. I had snuck in a 30 mile round trip last week because the roads were completely dry, and hoped to get another ride in this coming week. But the salt has been sprayed so my Z won't zee daylight again until the Spring rains wash the roads clean of the salt. |
