Mark, are the rivers fishable yet in Western NY?

Frank

(PS ~ are there still any fish left in Western NY?)

There are little icebergs floating down the Niagara river and into Lake Ontario, but yesterday I saw a couple power boats messing around out there. I still have to check out the local fishing; I don't know what's in season or how to catch it. I know salmon fishing is very popular here, along with northern pike and a mysterious thing called a "muskilunge". I still haven't been able to sell my house in CT and so I am only half-looking at boats. I need to befriend an avid fisherman around here and get a little guidance.

Gar-Pike and Muskies were monster fish when I lived there in my youth. Most people wouldn't eat the Gars, but both fish would give you a good fight and tow you a mile in your boat.
Glad to hear there are still some left. Guess we haven't succeeded in killing off ALL the prehistoric creatures yet.

Here's a Muskie and a baby Gar; picture AJ hooked up to one of these in his Kayak!

well...I guess the full super moon scared all the fish combatants to hide....I didn't even see a decent blip on my Hummingbird 385CI fish finder. A full day without a nibble even when I sat two traps 250 yards out.

But, a lone fisherman walked up to me and a buddy when we made a small encampment on shore. We talked a little...well actually a lot.... and I got a perfect recruitment for the war. Chris is going to love him. A Cape Cod Bait shop manager, lives part time in CT, has a Hobie Adventure, and has many fishing tricks up his sleeves. I just got to get him to find a love of Z's...and this team might be a first...... a full Z car loving kayak fishing armada. I did ask him if he liked cars, old cars, he was hooked.....then about old Japanese cars...he kinda shrugged...and when I mentioned datsuns...the shrug disappeared and a spark lit into a fire.......there is a chance. And his name is also Chris.

One last slot open for this team, I'm hoping Pascal, whom I fish with regularly will fill it, or if someone here will step up to the plate and take it.... Pascal's got the Japanese art down for pottery. but drives a prius...... he a good guy, has spare kayak's that Chris and Cameron can use, but just not a Z guy. But would be a huge asset to the team.

I honestly would love to see Frank on the team....just seeing him on a kayak, and fishing his heart out with the spirit he has for this club...would be an awesome sight.

I also got to ask Patrick... Relativity to a Z owner might also count.

Frank, most people who fish from a kayak use a fishing pole instead of just chasing after them with a K-bar.

So, how do you guys get 2000 characters on one line?
Our computer only has enough room on one line to go

Y'all get me dizzy trying to zip back and forth while reading.
OK, who was that Klugscheiffer who said I'm always dizzy?

I don't know why this happens occasionally. I think some photos get submitted in the 'big' format (from the sender's computer file), and that does it. If you reduce your pictures before you send them, this doesn't happen.

But once it does, ALL the pictures and posts from that point forward are HUGE. Let me try by deleting an entry and zee what happens.

Not sure. Webmaster has corrected several of these in the past. All I could do is delete the 'big' photo, but then I can't re-install it again.

Frank

*Yeah ~ it was the Garpike photo which did it. I replaced it now.*
