No, thank you.
I would rather not see my imminent death approaching.

Maybe if the truck driver WASN'T looking in his mirrors he would of seen in front of him. :? I heard some countries don't have mirrors because it's a distraction. Rumor. India come to mind.

Funny thing about that.
Most drivers dont respect trucks. I spend alot of time in the mirrors. Especially in corners. Call me crazy but I like to keep the trailer in my lane :)
You get the driver who tailgates you to the point where he/she can no longer be seen. Someone texting/cell phone using all the lanes.
The one I like the best Leave proper following distance (yes I left that space for you. Would you mind If I parked in your back seat??) Drivers will cut you off so quick You never see a directional because they havent given you any room.
Trucks dont excellerate like cars, most are governed. I cant recall ever seeeing a 0-60-0 brake test with 40,000lbs on board
If I could offer any advice besides what I've said.
Watch your mirrors on ramps and allow time to merge. While merging onto the interstate If you can see a truck in your mirrors dont slow down get going !

I was referring to staring in the mirror of the visor. Plus you should make quick glances in the side mirrors I agree, just don't stare to long...it's what in front of you that counts. I was given some lessons when young about how to drive around the big rigs, by a truck driver, (father of a girl friend, ) and have gone on some short trips in his full dressed 18 wheeler. The truck can actually stop quicker than you can imagine, it's all about controlling that stop. If it stays straight in line it's all good, but once it starts to jack knife look out. 10-4 watch out for bears taking pictures.

Modern technology has come along way. The truck I drive is equipped with abs. Your absolutely right on with your comments. I must of had a bad day crossing the GW Bridge
My apology for misreading your post.
