I just watched one of the very best 'away' games I've ever seen my Green Bay Packers play. In Atlanta, The Pack crushed the Falcons by TWENTY-SEVEN POINTS (48-21). This is the highest score Green Bay has ever made in any post-season game, even while under Brett Favre or Bart Starr. Aaron Rodgers played a near-perfect game, and The Pack didn't have to punt once during the entire game.

This advances Green Bay into the NFC Championship playoff game. They have come this close to the Superbowl several times before, but washed out in the final moments and ended their season. We 'Cheese Heads' have sort of become accustomed to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, so I stopped betting real money on them years ago. (I would be rich today if GBP had not made a few simple mistakes at the wrong crucial moments throughout my lifetime).

The last time GB actually won the Superbowl (SB XXXI, Jan/97), I was nearly arrested for Breach of Peace in my neighborhood, when I celebrated rather loudly. Should The Pack actually win the Superbowl in February, the Club should look for another Membership Director, because I will probably serve a lengthy jail sentence this time! 8)

It'll be worth it, and I'll ask if I can take my Cheese Hat to jail with me.

GO PACK GO!

Frank

Tmrw's game btwn our member Dan Linquist's Seattle Seahawks and our member TENGU's Chicago Bears will determine who Green Bay has to fight for the Conference championship next week.

Green Bay will travel either to Seattle or Chicago for the game.

I probably won't sleep again until then!

WELL! It's Packers vs Bears next week, at Chicago!
This is an age-old rivalry, dating back to before WWII. Historically, the Bears never win at Green Bay, and The Pack never wins at Soldier Field.

We'll see...........

GO PACK GO!

I'm hoping for this matchup. Always liked the Pack and have been a Jets fan since Joe Willie days. :D

If anybody wants to make a huge pile of money to pay off his/her
mortgage and have a bundle left over to spend on your Z, here's how:

Ask me what team I am rooting for, and place your bet on the opponent.
I'm a big oh-fer-allofem so far.

End of the First Half ~ Green Bay FOURTEEN, Bears ZZEEE-ROW!

I'm glued to the TV, wearing my CheeZeHead and yelling like a schoolboy.

Winner of this game goes to the SuperBowl.

I had *assumed* the Pack would probably have to fight the Jets, but I'm watching the Pittsburgh Steelers whup them in the 4th qtr.

The Steelers are playing better than I remember since the 1980s, and the Jets are having a real tough time moving the football. With 10 'football minutes" left in the game, PIT is leading 24 to 10.

If The Pack plays Pittsburgh in SuperBowl XLV next month, it will be a tough game for both teams. If we ('we') play The Jets, I see a clear victory for Green Bay. Plus, it's assured that Brett Favre would be somewhere in the stands, since he QBd for both teams.

So I'm hoping the Jets somehow beat Pittsburgh and advance to the SuperBowl so GB can beat them, but I'm not seeing that happen in this 4th quarter.
