Our German member, Thor Link, tells me that 2011 has brought new Customs and Tax changes to the Netherlands. Imports from the USA (which had been relatively cheap) are becoming more expensive.

The Customs cost for imported classic cars is now THREE TIMES MORE than it was last year.

I suspect this will have an impact on WHERE Europeans import their classic cars. Instead of importing a Z from the US into the Netherlands, they might instead import it to Spain, for example, and drive it home across the continent.

That might not be a bad idea, anyway!
