After the pursuit of the 87 ZX turbo fell thru I spotted this on C'slist in New City,Rockland county NY. Only a breif descrption and no pics.. Ad said 1987 BMW 325is, 110k miles, one owner, 5sp, dark grey $2500 offer... Well I called on the car last Sunday and went and looked, needless to say it was a one lady owner car from new originally purchased in the Bronx and quite well cared for, exterior is as near mint as you will find, not a speck of rust, interior needs a little refurb, all tan leather, sport seats, nice smooth 5 sp tranny.. I bought it on the spot for $2250, would have been $2k but the Mechanic shop selling it needed a $250 sellers fee on the car... I just brought it home this past Friday with the help of the other CTZCC turncoat, my buddy Mike, and we got her back to my home with no problems, was a nice ride up the Pallisades Parkway and Route 9d alond the Hudson river, spent the day yester day cleaning up the engine bay, scrubbing the BBS rims and washing her up.. All in all a fine little car to be sure, not sure if it's just a temporary infatuation and might be selling her to persue another Z car... Any way i'll have some fun with her in the meantime.....................

Nice find! I like the older 3-series. They're more perky-looking. The newest ones look more sleek (like just about everything else on the road), but you can get the same under-car in the 1-series, and that's got more classic styling.

In all seriousness Tom, that is a very nice Bimmer, just doesn't fill the Z stall in your garage. I think your Z search must continue! Then you'll have two nice collector cars!

Does Albie Goertz claim to be the designer of that one, too?
Can't fault you, Tom. I drove German-made cars for several centuries
before totaling the last one, inadvertently finding our '70 Z when looking
for a German replacement.

Hey everybody, I'm not worried about Tom. He'll be back soon, just as
Phil implied above............The only real detriment is that Tom can't add
that next-higher number to his signature block just yet................Mike
and Jimbo get to hold onto their "most" titles for awhile longer........The
only difference being that Jimbo KEEPS the cars when he buys them.

Just don't be a stranger. We still enjoy yours and Mikes company. The only requirement for CTZCC membersip is you have to love Z's. And you, my fellow Dutchess countiers have proven that.

Good looking BMW.
