Well ~ If I can't watch Green Bay win, I love to watch Dallas Cowboys lose. Tonight I got both my wishes! :D

The Pack thoroughly trounced the Cowboys 45-7 in front of a very appreciative crowd at Lambeau Field.

Historically, Green Bay has a few 'natural enemies' (Da Bears and The Vikes), but they hate NOBODY worse than they do the Dallas Cowboys.

It's a safe bet that the Cheese production for the Bay area will drop tmrw, since everyone will be celebrating there tonight.

And YES, I wore my Cheese Head thru the game and YES, it apparently helped.

Dallas Head Coach Wade Phillips has been fired for the TROUNCING his Cowboys suffered at the hands of the Pack Sunday.

During the previous week, the Minnesota Vikings also lost to the Pack at Lambeau Field, when quarterback Brett Favre (longtime Packers quarterback) took a hard hit and had to leave the game to have his jaw stitched back together.

The Pack is slowly re-earning its previous reputation, when NOBODY beat them at Green Bay. I (for one) would love to see that reputation reestablished.

Well Green Bay was always my second favorite team. I haven't been thrilled with my favorite team for a few years (I won't name them but they are the closest to me) so maybe it's time to upgrade!
Although I have to admit that last year and so far this year I haven't had the time to see a single game. I have more important prioities at this time in my life. The Love of my life takes precedence over everything else!

Well of course.

But the Cornhuskers aren't doing badly this season, are they? I became aware of them back in 1971, when they spent the season hospitaliZing players from every visiting team, without drawing a single penalty flag.

I know exactly what you mean, Bill. Sports are a distant 99th place
behind Kathy, even as they are for you with Shelly. I did watch some of
the World Series (with great disappointment) after getting her safely
tucked into bed, but so far not one football or hockey game. Although
I have begun to wear my Red Wings jacket.

I have to admit the Cowboys are lousy this year and the Houston Texans
aren't much better. I don't know how the Patriots are doing.

Re. Frank's post, I'm not sure that Bill was referring to the Cornhuskers.
I think Denver is closer to him than Lincoln.............
And ol'Favre thinks he is Charley Conerly, Y.A. Tittle, or George Blanda.
He fails to realize that those three each had a crew of All-Pro roughnecks
to protect and defend them.............although I do remember seeing a
picture of Y.A. pretty bloodied up. In those days they didn't go out on
the field dressed up like the Michelin man in a helmet..................I don't
think any of the modern players would fare too well in either rugby or
Australian rules football.................although those 330-350 pounders
could probably do something constructive in a scrum..................

Rick is correct. I was referring to the Broncos.
As far as the cornhuskers are concerned , well thats an interesting situation with me. 15 years ago when I moved from Wyoming (my home state) all the people I met in Nebraska could only talk huskers, huskers, huskers. They threw husker in my face everywhere I went. I actually had several people tell me that if I wasn't a big husker fan then I should move away. Nobody wants to invest their lifes savings in businesses in a new area and have them told they shouldn't be there because they aren't fans of the same college team.So I politely told them that I could care less about the huskers and their great Tom Osborne. Then I pointed out to them how many times their players got into trouble with the law and the great Tom Osbourne would interceed and get the players hands slapped and released to him. Then I pointed out how many ex husker players wound up in prison after graduating. Eventually it started to sink in and they don't complain to me as much. And I just tell them I don't watch or follow college ball. Thank God Nebraska doesn't have any pro teams, I'd have to move away!!
