67,000 what? Dollars?? Rubles? Deutschmarks? Euros?

These are called "Labo Doors" here, after the Lamborghini which introduced them. We are starting to see them on Zs at many car shows. I see no advantage in them, except that you can park closer to the car beside you without dinging either car.

For the price of them, I don't want them. Also, if your Z tips over and lands on the roof, you can't open the doors.

Looks cool, tho!

Lambo door kits here cost about $400-$500 plus installation work. If you do it yourself (DIY), that's the total cost.

Now that is a ridiculous price, I'd rather pay the $125,000 for the 240z. You can get a twin turbo for around $5,000 and spend another $400-$600 for the hinge set up. Plus they're just Lambo doors, not gull wings.

Awww, there are lots of advantages, Frank. To name a few:

1. If you drive the car onto a trailer whose fender wells would otherwise
be too high, you still have clearance to get out of the car. (Answer: I'll
pay a lot of rentals on a trailer with adequate clearance before I spend
a grand on Lambo doors, and still be money ahead!)

2. You don't hang the sole of your shoe on the lower edge of the interior
trim panel and pull the panel free while trying to get out of the car.
(Answer: Instead, I'll hit my head or knee or something due to being
unfamiliar with the configuration.)

3. Don't have any parts of your anatomy in the way if it slams down!

4. You get all the votes for Best In Show because your car has more
glitz and bling and gee-whiz features than the next guy's, plus usually a
paint scheme that makes you think the owner missed the entrance a
block or two ago at Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey.

5. It makes people realize there are some very serious shortcomings,
if not outright design defects, in the product that came out of the factory.

6. It makes carrying your wallet easier and less strenuous due to the
vastly decreased weight of same.

Additional advantages will be listed as edits as they come to mind.
Or as each of you comes up with any, whichever comes first.
