Here's few pics from sunday when we had classic car convoy trough the city. I felt myself VERY young as all the other car owners were at least 45yrs. Wonderful people and wonderful cars. It was awesome experience drive trough city when hundreds of peopl were gathered all alog the route to wawe or to take pics. Eventually te convoy ended up to Oulu car museum. One porsche 356 failed to make it but all the other cars did

Hooray!!! Thank you for representing the Z car to the world! Your beautiful 240 must have drawn many comments and much applause!

Did the engine stay cool in the procession?

Engine worked like a dream! Idle is perfect. Im suprised how well 38year old engine runs. And yes, i it get a lot attention. Dozens of people came asking about it. One man came to me and said that he's been trying to find this kind of Zee for years from Finland. I can imagine how hard it is to found Zee that has been originally imported to Finland. Theres only few dozens of them.

Too bad that these kind of happenings are rare here, more of them in the south. We (nissan owners) also need organized happenings as now the Datsun/Nissan meetings are basically that we all drive to big parking lot and talk a little, then leave.

There were 3 Datsuns(1Z, 1x1400, 1x1600) in this convoy, last year there were at least 10. I know that there is hundreds of old Datsuns in the area, for some reason they werent participating.

Another zee related pic. I was driving downtown few days ago and the sun was setting down. Funniest in this is, that as i had taken the picture , customs office police car drove next to me and ask for registration papers. After showing those to them, officer says "drive hard" instead of "drive safely" :D
Pic was taken with cellphone so its not the best quality.

WhoooooHooooo! That looks like my backyard this morning. We have a glacier surrounding our house because of all the recent snow, and we got a little more last night.

That's very pretty, as long as there are no buildings buried under there

Do you ski, Rev?

Frank

I agree; that orange Z Car is definitely the most stunning from among
all the cars I can see. Although I must admit, I like the little green 510
too, although its front bumper seems to be sagging on the driver side.

Although in the second pic, it doesn't seem to be sagging. Hey, what is
that to our right of the 510, "behind Scott Cole," an American car from
the 1940's? Looks like it could be a Ford or Chrysler product, a 2- or
4-door sedan............... That must be rarer than the Z Car in Finland!!!

You mean that car in the far right corner, Rick? The one facing us?
Looks like maybe a Volvo 544? They were 1960s but looked like 1940 Fat Fender Fords.

(Rev, Scott Cole is the tallest member in our Club. He's about 9ft tall when he stands up straight).

Thanks Rick and Kathy :) Actually it was some VERY old 40's Yankee car as you said, i dont remember the make though. Volvo PV's (personvagnar) were so common car back in the day that no one even bothered driving one into that show :D
There were also very rare Mercedes BenZ v170 from 1936 and GMC US ARMY truck from the 40's.

9 FEET??! He must be gigantic man, hey can i lend him to drop all the snow from our roof? :P

I can ski yes, but only downhill :)
