I decieded to give you all a little tour from our small country. Starting with the city we live in. There's not much driving days left but i'll continue to update pics next spring.

Heres first ones: This is the castle of Oulu, or what's left of it. It's been built in 15th century and it's been the center of this area. Later swedish king decieded to build a major city next to it, wich is now Oulu. War between Sweden (FInland was part of Sweden for 600years) and Russia crippled it and final blow came 1793 when lighting set gunpowder on fire and the whole castle exploded.

Second building is one of govermental buildings here in Oulu, that's just nice looking so i decieded to snap a pic.

Last one is Z looking back to ocean, where it came :D

I'll be posting more as the rain stops and weather clears.

Edit: seems like the pics are upside down order.

Great pictures,
Thanks for sharing some shots of your beautiful country.
The pic of the Z looks like it misses home. I sure she is well cared for.

Wow - thanks for sharing these pictures! It is great to see pictures of your country with one of our Z's in it. We would love to see more pictures of other locations. Thanks

Hi, Rev, thanks for the guided tour!
We haven't been in Finland for about 12 or 14 years now, and it is nice
having our personal tour guide take us somewhere beyond Helsinki.

The car is still looking beautiful-- the color is stunning! Did someone
back into the hood already?-- I see the little primer spot just to the left
of center.

Not criticizing Mr. Matsuo's work; obviously he produced the top seller
among all sport/GT cars, which is a lot more than I ever did. And we
have the obvious advantage of hindsight, don't we? But sometimes
beauty of design ends up in an unintended design flaw or shortcoming,
such as the vulnerability of the leading edge of the hood. Or maybe it
was so designed, because Japanese drivers are much more careful
when parallel parking than Americans are! (Dare I include Finns?)

Hi Rick (and Kathy)

Dent in the hood is made by previous owner, as a matter of fact it's not a dent, it's been sanded like that. He said that whole hood is painted bad and it needs a new paint job. Also inspection lids have same kind of marks on them.

Hey, Reverend! That are great pics. A wonderful car, a lovely country.
And a nice idea!

I really enjoyed this.

Isn't it wonderful how the Z blends itself into any environment? I think Rev should wait until almost dark (dusk) and take more pictures of his 240 with just the parking lights on.

Isaac (IBCoupe) did that with his avatar and it looked great.

Last year, Keith held several photo "assignments" (they weren't really contests), where members sent in pix of their Zs near water, in the mountains, or in different settings.

We haven't done that yet this year ~ I think we should each shoot our Zs with the parking lights on at dusk, in different environments.

Frank

Sometimes I do think about shooting our Zs when they act up, like
Lucky 13 did at Nashville! But then I get a rare case of mental sanity
and abstain from anything so rash when I realize it would only take
more time, money, and effort to patch up the bullet holes....................

Rust holes are enough to deal with, let alone bullet holes. However there are probably some gangland areas where they are fashionable!

Great pics ! Thanks so much for sharing them with us!

HEY! A 1960 Chevy Impala! One of my favorite cars from my childhood, and the first car I ever did 120mph in.

I really like these photos ~ you could make Z commercials for Datsun! I especially like the one on the beach, with the Z's parking lights on.

I notice your Z's license plate is in the rear hatch window. That leaves the rear plate area open between the taillights. You could use a big "240-Z" plate in there, couldn't you? 8)

Cool. 8) Neat little town, looks like Newport here. So you know, the first pic you load is actually the last. I don't understand it, but done that myself. It's real cool seeing an old Impala over there. The Z looks great by the way.
