Well today I didn't feel like doing anything, but that's hard to do. So I decided to see why my Alpine stereo would only play the left speakers when in tape mode. After I took it all apart I found the secret spot if you pushed on it the right side would kick in. Turned out to be a microscopic piece of dirt in between solder connections. Sprayed it with brake clean, and all is good again, back together and playing just fine. Also adjusted the head for the best sound quality, was a little muffled before hand. I also at the same time took a Z clock apart and figured how it works, and so far with a little cleaning and adjustment it has kept time all day so far, and still ticking.

I wish I could get that much done on a day in which I had full energy
and initiative, and lack of interruption, going for me!

A saying I thought of and began using awhile back:
Anybody who says he can do as much at age 60 as he did at age 30,
didn't do very much at age 30!

Wish i had your enthusiasm Paul! I need to get my clock working too but so far i've been avoiding it as much as possible. When you combine me and electronics, all you get is fried parts and electrocuted guy 8)

That's good Rick. Well, it wasn't labor intense work, unlike the last few days, but I couldn't just sit down and relax, plus the radio and clock have been bugging me. The clock is actually more a mechanical thing than electronic, and relieving some tension of the pendulum, thingy majiggy, it just worked. The Alpine is still Rockin, and I will have that in soon. You will hear more than loud exhaust coming down the street.
