..........Literally, yea my 240 bit me the other day. I was just walking behind my 240 and my leg hit the end of the pipe and felt like a good scratch and then I look down and see blood squirting out  So I immediately put my hand over it but that wasn't going to hold well so took my t-shirt off wrapped it around my leg in form of a tourniquet and held tight until the wife came home to give me a ride to the hospital. (Why is it the one not hurt panics the most, ) Wife says I should of called 911, I say, "why waste tax payers dollars." So I cut into the mussel and got 3 layers of stitches. Today is first day off the cane and doing better, and hope to be able to drive after the weekend. So that's my stupid move of the week. Plus I was suppose to cook for my wife's business party she has at our house once a year. So this happened an hour before, so I told her to leave me at the hospital I'll get a friend to take me home.....as long as they don't mind you cooking.....so the party went one. :D I guess my first project is to fix that exhaust... :?

You need to give the tail end of your Z a wide berth Paul!!

See white Z below for deployed, rearward facing defense system.

What a story. I think the Z may have caught Paul looking at another Z. No other explanation.

Come on, Paul, didn't you read in the Owners Manual or the FSM
that you should always wear hockey goalie pads when walking or
working in/near that area?

At least I got a Purple Heart when I got zinged. Ross, don't we
have the equivalent of that somewhere in the Club awards system?

All Z Best, Paul, get better so you can make the Big Show!

Actually, I learned to walk a wide path around the rear area of my 240 after I had destroyed the SECOND pair of uniform trousers, by brushing against that darned black rubber strip on the rear bumper.

Wouldn't getting hurt by your own car count as a blue-on-blue incident?

That red '70 240Z in the photo is Colin's car. He told me he installed that strange exhaust tip which eliminated all fumes from entering the cabin.

Ah, memories.

Paul, there might have been a reason for Datsun and ANSA to stop the exhaust tips AT the edge of the rear bumper......maybe they lost a few Japanese factory workers to that same haZard??? :?

 Al, that would of defiantly made me bleed to death. Well, I finally drove the Z or drove anything for the first time today and all is well. I plan on someday fixing the tips so they go under close to the car more, I didn't have time to fix it but I did file it down quite a bit.....so the next time it will be more of a rip or tear your leg apart type of cut next. Well, time is upon me, have the first show in Rochester coming up, wish I could of got more done , but o well things happen. I have the rest of this very hot evening to finish up doing a few things, tomorrow have to take some scrap to the yard, pick dad up at the airport, work on the Z some more.......... get stitches out 1pm Thursday and leave to N.Y. after the Doc wraps me up. Shweeeeeee. :D
