Owner of 280ZX was chased 100 miles in California and was shot after he run out of gas and pointed his gun towards police. Thats a nice looking Z by the way...is it for sale

Glad he didn't wreck the car.
That's what usually happens in these chases.
Early models of Z Cars are hard to replace, and getting harder.
Unfortunately, newer models of criminals are easy to replace,
and getting easier.
