I'd like to introduce my band to you guys (and gals) cause 65% of our listeners (myspace statistics) are from States.

We play funkadelic new-wawe pop and like to bring sheer happines to the world. Here in Finland there is lot of sad and melancholic music but we're gonna change that!

So here it is www.myspace.com/koaliaband

Thanks!

In Finland you just cant live by making music unless youre a superstar. In our case it's totally impossible, most of our listeners are from outside scandinavia..we gotta aim there. How? i dont know.

We are starting our new music-video project this summer, hope it gains some attention 8)

Very cool! I look forward to future projects, before you the only Scandinavian music I was really aware of/listened to were bands like In Flames/At The Gates/Dark Tranquillity/other Goethenburg metal bands.

Cool, I have to wait til I get home to check this out, I'm a big music fan myself. Wish I could play, but no coordination, I was born to work on Z's I guess. I have a good friend in a band from Boston called "The Wanda's" and so far doing good. It seems so hard these days to establish a band, i wish you luck, and will check this out. I'm limited on a school computer.

Our Australian member Obsidian Pete is a band member, too (Obsidian). Our German member Thorsten is a big music lover and has participated in local bands and Volksgesang.

Maybe musical expression and love of the Z car has a connection.....?

I'll sure do :P We gotta hit the US and UK markets if thats ever going to happen :? We were discussing the same subject on Finnish Z-forum and discovered that there were 5 bass players (i play bass) in that particular thread. We planned to make our own 5-bass band called either ZX-Top, ZZR (as CCR), Zetallica or Zed Leppelin

I'm to lazy to do that to Frank. When I get time I'll check into your band more. Winter time is when I'll slow down. I'd have to realy sit down and absorb your music sometime. I consider myself a music critic hidding in the closet. My collection of Vinyl records, cassetts, CD's and 1 eight track compiles into thousands of tunes. NO RAP. ummmm, actually I have some eminem, but you'll find everything from Frank Sinatra, to Slayer, yes it's that wide of a range. You name it, I have it, or haven't got it YET, or it sucks, and won't buy it. Bluegrass, Country, Good ol Rock and roll of course, (my mainstream,) Alternative, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Classical, Jazz, Punk, New Age, Christian rock. I think that's it. Since your over there By the UK, Joy Division is probably my favorite band from there, besides the Beatles.

Nice to have a music enthusiast in the Z-group 8) I also like to listen all kinds of music, my collection is mainly mp3's but i try to buy vinyls everytime i have chance.

I envy my father, he has about 800 vinyls and at least same amount of Cd's. He's 62 and retired and he has all the time in the world to listen music.

To madlarkin: If you want to know more of finnish bands, try Children Of Bodom or HIM for example. COB's guitar/singer was recently voted as the best guitar player in the world..

btw. check this Z out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OZMalBCKBI
he's member of Finnish Z club. He transformed his 240Z to diesel :)

800 vinyls, that's it. :P I lost count after 1000. COB, isn't that the son of John Bodom of Led Zeppelin? I forget. MP3's is something I'm just getting into. My CD player in my 83 has that input jack, sure beats bringing all my CD's. My other 2 vehicles have Tape decks, and I have the adaptor to use the MP3 there as well. My new favorite thing now is the Pandora radio station. I have the Roku box, wired into my Yamaha stereo, via the optical cord, then ran the RCA's all the way to my garage to my Kenwood hooked to to 15" house speakers. Yes I love music, but hate commercials.
