Guys, I have an urgent matter to share.

Our member ZXtoy (Bill, from Western Nebraska) has become a good
friend of mine over the past few months. I don't know any of your
spiritual condition, but if you could find it in your heart, I want to implore
you to pray earnestly and fervently for brother Bill and his family.

Bill has had a tough run of it over the past year. Among other things
his wife Shelly was diagnosed with cancer and had a successful surgery,
his daughter was injured in a serious car accident, he lost his father (to
whom he was very close) recently, and now Shelly has been diagnosed
with cancer in the brain for which she is undergoing surgery even as I
am writing this urgent message.

This brother needs all of our prayers and support at this difficult time.
Please join me, as extended family, in uplifting Bill and his family.

He (God) is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or
even think according to the power that worketh in us. (Eph. 3:20)

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (Jas 5:16)

With men it might be impossible, but with God, all things are possible
(Matt 19:26; Mark 9:23, 10:27, 14:36; Luke 1:37, 18:27)...............

Thanking you members in advance on behalf of Bill and his family.

All Z Best,..................................Kathy & Rick

Bill, Shelly, and their daughter will be in our thoughts and prayers.

The Z community comes together in many wayz. Altho the Zs are what draw us together, we also find a brotherhood within our Membership. We care about each other because of our strong common interests, and we like to think that we're 'there' for each other when it matters most.

It's rewarding to me, Rick, that you (after only 8 months in this Club) are strongly enough attached to our Membership to lead such a call. You're a good man, and we're fortunate to have you (and others like you) among us.

What happens to one of us, affects each of us. A "Z Wife" needs our support right now. There is huge, unstoppable power in prayer. If we each just spare a silent moment and let God know our concern for Shelly, it CAN make a difference.

Bill, my sincere best wishes to you and your family. Our entire Membership is pulling for you guyz out there in Nebraska. Distance doesn't matter to God. Our thoughts are right there, beside you.

Thank you for all the prayers. Shelly had her brain tumor removed 6 weeks ago and today we found out that she has another tumor in the brain very close to the last one and tomorrow she will undergo another brain surgery. Her cancer is called inflammatory breast cancer and is one of the fastest growing deadliest cancers. What a normal cancer tumor grows in 4 years is what this one grows in 3-4 weeks. The survival rate is near zero for anything beyond a few years. She is an awesome woman with a very strong faith and is still smiling and cheering up all those around her. She is simply amazing and to know her is to love her. I am so sorry to have to ask for more prayers for her but I am not too proud to. So please include Shelly in your prayers . Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And a special THANK YOU to Rick and his wonderful wife Kathy. They are what is good in this world.

Hi Bill,
I'm so sorry to hear about the struggles that you and Shelly are facing. As you probably already know, the Z community is a close and caring one. We consider you and Shelly to be part of our extended family and will certainly keep you both in our thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated on Shelly's condition. Thanks

Shelly is resting in ICU now after a 9 hour surgery. She had a clear MRI scan 30 days ago and this tumor was the size of a popcan. It was on her left side of her brain. The doctors are scared about the amount of growth in such a short time frame. But that is what inflammatory breast cancer does. The prognosis is not good at all. I am scared for her but I won't let her know or see it. THANK YOU for the prayers. She was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer exactly one year ago today and had a golfball size tumor removed from her left side of the brain six weeks ago and now this tumor today. I know the date of the first diagnosis and todays surgery date very well- it is our daughter Amanda's 19th birthday today.

We are all pulling and praying for Shelly. From the way you describe her, she's a strong fighter. It must be extremely difficult for you to see her fight her way through this. Our thoughts are with you, too, for all the strain this must be putting on you.

Amanda got the best birthday present today ~ a successful surgery. At age 19, all this concern will make her a more-appreciative woman as she grows older. Relationships with family members are so often taken for granted when we're young (we all remember when we were 19). A sudden slap like this wakes us right up to what's really important in life.

Don't forget to take care of yrslf while Shelly is recuperating, Bill. Under this much strain, it's easy to forget to eat and sleep enough.

Find strength in the Lord and in your kid(s). Don't hesitate to share your feelings with your daughter ~ it helps kids learn about bravery when they become scared, if they saw their parents endure it.

Thinking of you guys ~

Frank

My thoughts and prayers go out to them. May God direct these people to a good surgeon that could rid Shelly of this pain. She has our support. Me and the wife both had serious surgery since we have been together and prayer and support from people really helped out. Mine could of been death resulting and ended up being a year of pain and misery, and I thank God everyday, and for my wife we flew to Cali. to a specialist because one slip and bad results could happen. So I pray they make it through this, That they get good help and care, for it is hard to watch your loved one suffer, God Bless.

I was just on the ZCar.com site, which has a pretty long thread
contributed to by a lot of concerned people from all around the country:
maybe further than that. I hadn't been to ZCar much lately and was
more than astonished to read there what you read above, and more.

I promised Bill that I would give everybody a "heads-up" about Shelly,
so here it is. Thank you all for joining me in praying for her freedom
from pain, and obviously, a complete and thorough healing. I guess
I am kind of "ballsy" when it comes to thinking BIG when praying, but
I would also suggest that God invites that and even ENCOURAGES it.

"Is there anything too hard for the Lord thy God?" and "With men it
might be impossible, but not with God, for with God, all things are pos-
sible" and similar phrases, appear at least 7 times in Scripture if I
remember correctly. God is pretty notorious for challenging us to put
our faith and trust in Him, when you come right down to it. So, why
not? Can you think of anyone more able or more reliable?

I'm glad I realized that (and more importantly, had a personal relation-
ship with Him) in August and following, 4 years ago. Kathy suffered a
bilateral stroke of the thalamus as a result of a blood clot loosed follow-
ing a major reconstructive ankle surgery. The EMT's on the ambulance
said they didn't think she was going to make it. The doctors in the ER
said the same, and worse yet, didn't know what to do "because a stroke
in that portion of the brain never happens." On and on I could go.

Fortunately, God knew what to do, and how to do it. I didn't, and it
seemed that no one else did, either. So in the strongest sense, I guess
you could say that I challenged God to do what no one else could.

He did.

You who have met and interacted with Kathy would never guess it,
other than maybe for a few comparatively minor residuals. I am
holding out for the same or better for Shelly. I am also praying for
courage, strength and endurance for Bill and Amanda, his daughter.
And also for, maybe especially for the younger child, Tyler, the son
who always seems to be the one who gets left out when we offer
encouragement and support.

Bill, we love you, Bro. And your entire family as well.
Please tell them so.

All Z Best,................................Kathy & Rick

I hope he's not having to spend all day and evening beside Shelly's
hospital bed, I know what that's like. It could be a 24/7 thing if the
hospital didn't kick you out at 8:00 (10:00 for me, I never left until I
was dragged out by the ear). And Bill has the kids to take care of,
though they are old enough to take care of themselves to a degree.

I'll shoot Bill a PM to see whazzup.

I'm sorry it has taken this long for my reply. I was camped out with Shelly at the hospital for a week. They let me stay all day and night and sleep in a chair by the bed. The hospital staff has been great. I was waiting on a 2nd,3rd,and 4th opinion from other doctors around the country on where to go from here. Shelly did well through the surgery. The doctor said this tumor was the size of a pop can and it grew from nothing to that in under 4 weeks. That is what inflammatory breast cancer does. During the surgery the neurosurgeon was led (by god) to look at another area that was clear on the mri scan and found another paper thin silver dollar size tumor that was ready to grow . He removed both tumors successfully. Both of them were on the surface of the brain and as of yet not inside. Thank God! We are doing whole brain radiation with booster radiation now. That was one of the other opinion things. Once you do whole brain radiation you can't do anymore ever. So if the cancer comes back in the head we are done. All of the doctors have said at best case scenerio we have 2 to 4 years left with Shelly.Worst case is 6 months. However that time frame will be Gods choice and no one else now. He may give us many years.Right now Shelly is home and resting between trips to the hospital. I want to Thank everyone here for the prayers and specially my good friends Rick and his wonderful wife Kathy. They give me strength when I need it most. I cherish thier friendship more than I can say. My daughter Amanda and son Taylor are proving to be great kids through this life trial. I'm so proud of them.
Thank you again for the prayers and concerns. I will update Shellys condition more often.
Please give your loved ones a big hug today , you never know when it's too late.

Well Bill, we are elated to hear this! During a month in which we have struggled to deal with the tragic loss of a Club member, it's great to get some good news. There certainly is no power greater than prayer, and God hears our voices when we appeal to Him.

This might be a good time to take inventory of your own well-being. Altho you endured this stress for about 2 months, it probably felt like two years. Your strength and endurance are vital to Shelly's recovery, so you should probably try to pamper yrslf a little.

Resuming rest, good food, exerciZe and stress relief will recharge your batteries so you can continue to help her. A good laugh every now and then might not hurt, either!

Thanks for sharing this good news! We'll be anxious to hear about Shelly's reaction and progress whenever you find time to write.

Good work Bill ~ we should all be so Blessed as to have someone as loyal as you when we need support.

Tell your kids to watch mom for a bit while you take the Z around the block and unwind.

Our prayers, thoughts, hopes, and best wishes continue.
Not only for Shelly, but for you and the kids also.
I'm sure I am speaking for all the Club members when I say that.

I hope you are letting them see these posts for their encouragement.
(Taylor, I'm sorry, I called you Tyler by mistake.)

Bill, hang in there and keep on keepin' on.
We're in YOUR corner.
You can have my space at the car show next month, it's paid for.
You deserve it a lot more than I do.

We all love you, Bro. And your family, too.
I hope you can sense that, as you read thru the postings.
