OK, so we love carz, and especially Z cars. But the same adrenaline runs heavy when we zee other high performance machinery, so our Chicago member Tengu (Jake) sends us this montage of fast moving low fliers to pump us up:

http://shock.military.com/Shock/videos. ... ervists.nl

According the the title, these guyz are RESERVISTS, who historically don't get to fly as many hours as Active Duty guyz do. But there are two wars on now, so they're getting plenty of stick time and they've become very proficient pilots.

My favorite clips are #5, at 1:45, where the Harrier kicks up road dirt!(),

#3, at 2:17 and 2:34, where this Harrier technically flies low enough to suck the bystander up into his twin intakes, and

#1, at 3:01, where he manages to initiate and maintain an "Angel Tail"

Glad these guyz are on OUR side!

Frank

Dearest Kathy:
I got run over by a jet fighter aircraft today.............

Other than that, it was a pretty ordinary day in a combat zone--
only got shot at 16 times today, but one round perforated my
fatigues and another punched a hole in my canteen....I got mad
and wiped out three of those suckers...........
Love, ~Rick~

I miss that kinda stuff. That being said, I DON'T miss the harriers running down the deck at all hours of the night on the carrier, and I DON'T miss the Blue Angels buzzing low overhead early in the morning at El Centro.
