Wow. I can foresee many military and security applications for these ~ totally roll-flat replacements, lighter unsprung weight, 'bullet-proof' design.

Wonder if they're applicable to motorcycles, where lateral-stresses are greater than on cars, and only two tires must do all the work?

High-speed Bonneyville racers wouldn't have to worry about blowouts or overpressure due to heat, either.

If I could just stretch a rubber band far enough to get it around
the rim I would have the same effect at much lower cost..........

Just don't drive where there is a chance to get dirt in the tire or you will be dealing with balance issues every other day.

Our Chicago member Tengu also expressed concern about snow and ice, especially if you park overnight and the tires freeZe to the deck.

Still, it sure fills me with wonder and imagination that mankind continues to try to re-invent the wheel.
